We are an all girls robotic team (named after Ada Lovelace the mother of computer science). Team Lovelace is committed to building a robot in a welcoming, engaged, and curious environment. We are on a mission to make STEM more diverse and inclusive in our school community and globally.
We girls know what it's like to feel alone or like an outsider in STEM settings. We want to change that.
Women are often overlooked as a result society doesn’t always recognize their important contributions to STEM. This project hopes to rectify this by publishing their achievements.
All articles will be published on Wikipedia, so young girls can have easy access to women in STEM to look up to.
Team Lovelace was founded in September 2022. We have 16 girls across the high school grades, with 5 rookies. We compete in FTC, a global competition where we design, build, program, and operate robots in yearly challenges.
Wish us luck with our season this year!
